Offshore Pedestal Crane

An offshore crane is defined as a pedestal-mounted elevating and rotating lifting device used to transfer materials and personnel to or from marine vessels, barges and structures, according to API Spec 2C, a standard used to design and manufacture offshore cranes.

Offshore pedestal cranes are widely used to lift containers  and other cargos from ships and then place them on truck trailers. These cranes are among very important equipment's at ports.

The safe load indicator is specially designed to work on pedestal mounted cranes. These are built with special grade materials which are less effected by salt water of sea. Usually IP67 or IP68 category of protection is used to ensure longer life of safe load indicator for these cranes.
