Tower cranes are widely used at all major construction sites. High-rise buildings cannot be made without using these tower cranes. Infact each site may be using several tower cranes at the same time. As the load-carrying capacities of these cranes are increasing, the crane operation is also getting more complex. Apart from the lifted load and radius, the operator has to know the wind speed and hook height also to carry out the crane operations safely. The operator’s judgment alone may lead to an accident. An intelligent safe load indicator becomes a necessity to operate these cranes safely.

Innovative Brains has already installed hundreds of safe load indicators in tower cranes. Our safe load indicator uses special sensors to prevent collusion among several cranes working at same site. The system measures the lifted load, trolley position (radius), Wind-Speed, Slew Angle and Hook Height and calculates the safe lifting capacity of the crane. The system displays these parameters on its HMI and also warns the operator by audible and visual alarms in case of wrong operation. An electrical cutoff system stops the crane from moving towards a dangerous condition.
